TRU Actors Workshop Monologues
The TRU Actors Workshop Theatre will explore some of the UN Sustainable Development Goals through monologues. 

The monologues will range in theme from poverty to gender equality to justice and more. We encourage you to take a break from studying to sit down and be entertained by our talented Visual and Performing Arts students!

Swing Demo & Open Lessons

Come try out Lindy Hop with the TRUSU Swing Dance Club! We're throwing a mini version of our regular social dances in Student Street for IDays. Lindy Hop is a style of vernacular jazz dance that originated in Harlem, NY, in the 1930s and 40s and is now danced worldwide.

Check out a sweet demo and then get a quick overview of the very basics of this dance from our experienced instructors! After the 10 minute lesson, take part in a fun and exciting social dance featuring the best of swing and jazz music. This dance is described as a happy dance, so jump in - it doesn't matter if you feel like you have two left feet or are a seasoned pro, this hour will fly by and leave you jazzed about Lindy Hop! We promote a safe, inclusive, and friendly culture. No partner required - just bring yourself.
