Come try out Lindy Hop with the TRUSU Swing Dance Club! We're throwing a mini version of our regular social dances in Student Street for IDays. Lindy Hop is a style of vernacular jazz dance that originated in Harlem, NY, in the 1930s and 40s and is now danced worldwide.
Check out a sweet demo and then get a quick overview of the very basics of this dance from our experienced instructors! After the 10 minute lesson, take part in a fun and exciting social dance featuring the best of swing and jazz music. This dance is described as a happy dance, so jump in - it doesn't matter if you feel like you have two left feet or are a seasoned pro, this hour will fly by and leave you jazzed about Lindy Hop! We promote a safe, inclusive, and friendly culture. No partner required - just bring yourself.
