The TRUSU Model UN Club encourages attendees to come and witness this interactive conference.

Participants in this Model UN (MUN) conference, known as delegates, will be placed in committees and assigned countries, or occasionally other organizations or political figures, where they represent members of that body. Delegates will be presented with their assignments in advance, along with a topic or topics that their committee will discuss. Delegates will conduct research before the MUN conference and formulate positions that they will then debate with their fellow delegates in the committee, staying true to the actual position of the member they represent. At the end of a conference, the best-performing delegates in each committee, as well as delegations, are recognized with awards.

This Model UN Conference will focus on UN Sustainable Development Goal number eleven, Sustainable Cities and Communities.

Model UN participants include students from the TRU Model UN Club and the School District 73 Model UN Club.

Seating is limited and on a first come first served basis. (Approx. 150 seats available)
